Arts and Crafts
Meet the resident artists and crafters at Mossel Bay’s Craft Art Workshop – they’ll be happy to show you their work!
Everyone here accepts commissions, and we’re always excited to discuss large orders for corporate gifts.
Our Resident Artists
Learn to draw! Pearly-Anne Art Studio is run by Pearl and her daughter, Annerien van den Berg. They offer art and craft classes, sell paintings, cards and gifts, and also stock art supplies.
Mary Hasse of Azur Creations is dedicated to her art, her beadwork and her shells. She makes jewellery out of beads, shells, gemstones and pearls, and also creates things like lamps, wind chimes and beaded curtains.
Bradley produces some of the funnest, most colourful paintings you’re likely to see in South Africa. He calls his art 'township comedy', explaining that “People can be happy in difficult circumstances, and that’s why I use colour – to show that happiness.”
Ernest Clark's leatherwork is inspired by his great love for nature, and the pride he takes in his culture.
Bush Craft Fabrics
Corrie Clark and Salome Scheepers produce hand made and embroidered clothing and soft furnishings – and huge, warm smiles – from their Bush Craft Fabrics studio.
Taj Virdi concentrates on 3-D township paintings and collages – many of which are small enough to fit comfortably into the traveller’s luggage.
